Religion

Religion is a driving force for how most people in the modern and ancient world to live their lives. Often times religion tells us to live life as a good person and praise your God figure. If you do this you will receive awards from your God figure in the after-life. Not many religions today change in their behaviors. Many of a religions practices haven't changed since they were created. By doing this a status quo is kept. A family that practices their faith a certain way is more than likely going to be carried on to the next generation. In saying that one can believe that a generation will behave a lot like the generation before it. There will be a few changes based on the times that generation is now in. For example, many churches started to use the big jumbo-tron screens in their churches therefore allowing them to have bigger congregations. The idea of the little church on the hill is slowly being replaced with the massive church with a big screen idea. But some parts of the churches' practices remain the same this is where a status quo is maintained.

  1. You mentioned that churches are slowly changing through the passing generations. I feel that church should not have to change, but the people in our time should change. If what a church preaches is "right" then they shouldn't have to lure people in with these big flashy LED signs or jumbo-tron screens to get people to come to their church.
